Vidium Solutions is a young startup that develops high-performance software to help biologists analyze large biological datasets in order to develop innovative treatments. Vidium's main software, called REAL, aims at predicting the behavior of cells under changing conditions. REAL is starting to evolve into a software product line, i.e., a generic software capable of supporting multiple feature combinations to adapt to different scientific projects.

The goal of the internship is to design, implement and benchmark a workflow scheduling strategy for REAL. This is challenging because of the use of GPUs and because it needs to support all the feature combinations allowed by the REAL product line.

The focus of the internship can be tailored depending of the student's interests: either pure scheduling, focused on software engineering, or focused on GPU performance models.
